About GrooveMap
Music discovery starts between the rows.
Catalogs tell us what exists. GrooveMap is being built to reveal how those records, people, labels, and creative histories connect.
The mission
GrooveMap combines structured music data from Discogs and MusicBrainz into graph and analytical models. The goal is a transparent foundation for exploration, recommendations, catalog research, and questions that are difficult to answer one record at a time.
The method
Dedicated ingestion and enrichment services preserve source context while building explicit contracts between catalog data, graph relationships, analytical tables, APIs, and public experiences.
The principles
- Traceable: keep provenance and source identities visible.
- Composable: publish clear interfaces instead of hidden monorepo coupling.
- Respectful: treat access, licensing, and privacy as real architecture boundaries.
- Useful: turn catalog structure into routes for genuine discovery.
